Nutritional Therapy - Food as Medicine

Nutritional Therapy consists of a personalised dietary and lifestyle intervention that follows the principles of the evidence based model of health care called Functional Medicine.

Functional Medicine’s starting point is to consider not what disease a person has but what type of individual has the disease as each person is unique. Therefore, Nutritional Therapy and Functional Medicine aim to restore balance and vitality through the use of organic foods, herbs and supplements (such as vitamins, minerals, etc.), focusing on detoxifying and cleansing the body and optimising its absorption of nutrients, thus supporting the body’s ability to heal itself.

The ethos of Nutritional Therapy is to treat the whole person not just his or her symptoms, addressing the source of the individual’s imbalances to restore their overall wellbeing.
